Hi! I’m Mark-- the owner of Mark’s Card Shop. I opened Chicagoland’s newest sports card shop in June of 2021. Owning a card shop has been a life-long dream...and I want to share why.
As you could guess, I was a sports card collector growing up. And the childhood memories of collecting still resonate with me today.
I remember visiting old card shops with my Dad (also named Mark!). We would check out the showcases, rip packs, and sometimes I would even get to walk out with some wax (sealed boxes).
I spent endless hours checking prices in my Beckett price guides, trading cards with kids in the neighborhood, or just reading the stats on the back of the cards.

Collecting has brought me so much joy over the years. I want it to do the same for you.
My goal for Mark’s Card Shop is to create lifelong memories with every visit. Whatever reason you stop by--to hang out, check out singles in the dollar box, mull over the showcases, or buy some new wax--I want it to be an experience you won’t forget.
Mark’s Card Shop makes card collecting accessible to everyone--from those about to start making memories collecting to those with decades of memories to share.
